The Principles of Belief   |   Real Witches do Not...   |   Daily Devotion

Blessed are my feet which walk the path of the Lord and Lady.
Blessed be my knees that kneel at the sacred altar.
Blessed be my heart that beats the drum of combassion.
Blessed by my eyes, so that they may see the wisdom of Spirit.
May the love of the Lord and Lady be within and around me
as I begin my journey through life this day.
So mote it be!

Nearly all Witches practice what is known as Daily Devotions. It only takes about five minutes as the least, but can last as long as desired. The devotion is used to reaffirm our faith, something which many other religions practice. It actually doesn't matter when or where you do your devotions, as long as you do them.
Devotions can begin with any prayer, even one written by yourself. It's very open and you can do pretty much anything you want. Singing, humming, and chanting are all common ways to do it, but you can do it silently as well.
